Oglethorpe Extends Lead to 12 Shots After Day Two of the SCAC Men's Golf Championships

TUNICA, Miss. - The third-ranked Oglethorpe University men extended its three shot lead to 12 over Centre College after the second day of the 2012 SCAC Men's Golf Championships - which is being contested at the Tunica National Golf Club in Tunica, Miss. Complete Round 2 results

Oglethorpe's Eric Quinn extended his lead heading into the final day of competition after firing a second round of 76. Quinn's two day total of 145 is four shots ahead of Centre's Kenyon Cook and Trinity's Kalen Vos. Cook and Vos along with Oglethorpe's Hayden Jones all tied for the low round of the day after firing a 75.

The Petrel men lead with a team score of 595 are followed by Centre with a 607 and Birmingham-Southern with a 611.

Rounding out the top five team scores in the field at the SCAC Championships, Trinity's second day total of 312 finds the Tigers in fourth with a two day total of 618. The Pirates of Southwestern are sitting in fifth heading into the final round of competition with a two day total of 621.

The final round of competition concludes on Sunday.
