TUNICA, Miss. – The third-ranked Centre College women take a commanding lead heading into the final day of competition at the 2012 SCAC Championship at The Links at Cottonwoods in Tunica, Miss. Complete Day 2 Results
Led by Emily Bachert, Centre carries a 17 shot lead over Birmingham-Southern after firing a day two score of 322 for a two day total of 637.
Bachert posted a second day low round of 77 to take a four shot lead heading into the final round of competition with a two day total of 151. Southwestern's Karissa Speck matched Bachert's low round of 77 and moved into second place individually with a two day total of 155.
The Colonel women are followed on the team leaderboard by Birmingham-Southern with a 654 and Southwestern with a 671.
Rounding out the top five team scores in the field at the SCAC Championships, Rhodes' second day total of 343 finds the Lynx in fourth with a two day total of 672. The Tigers of Trinity are sitting in fifth heading into the final round of competition with a two day total of 674.
The final round of competition concludes on Sunday.
