SUWANEE, Ga. - Birmingham-Southern College junior forward Zac Richards and Hendrix College senior center Nick Heathscott were each named to the Capital One Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Richards, a native of Hoover, Ala., maintains a 3.66 Grade Point Average (GPA) as a mathematics/pre-engineering major.
A native of Conway, Ark., Heathscott carries a 3.96 GPA as a biochemistry/molecular biology major.
The 2012 Capital One Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Teams, selected by CoSIDA, have been released to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to Capital One Academic All-America® team ballott, where first-team, second-team and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
