LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association released the Division III Top 25 poll for the sixth week of competition. Colorado College (22-1) remains at 8th place. Southwestern University (19-2) rose from 17th to 14th after victories over Mary Hardin-Baylor, Trinity, Texas Lutheran and Schreiner.
The Tigers went undefeated sweeping conference rivals Austin, Dallas and Centenary at the SCAC Divisional in Irving, Texas. CC currently sits atop the SCAC standings with a perfect 10-0 record in conference play.
Southwestern only dropped one set on the week during a 3-1 victory over Texas Lutheran. The Pirates were led by senior outside hitter Kaitlyn Foster who posted a .415 attack percentage over four matches. Foster was also named the Sports Imports/AVCA National Player of the Week and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for her performance.
