KANSAS CITY, Mo. - After four weeks of competition, two Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men’s soccer programs are nationally ranked by either the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) or D3soccer.com.
Colorado College entered the NSCAA rankings for the first time this year, coming in at No. 21. They are currently leading the SCAC with a 4-0-1 record in conference, 6-1-2 overall.
Last week, CC earned wins over Southwestern University and Texas Lutheran University. Colorado College is also ranked in the west region, coming in at No. 3. Trinity University is also ranked in the region at No. 6.
In the D3soccer.com rankings, Trinity comes in at No. 15 nationally, moving up three spots from last week after two dominating wins in SCAC play. TU defeated Austin College and Centenary College over the weekend, outscoring their opponents 9-0 in the two matches.
Colorado College currently leads the conference, averaging 2.1 goals per game, while Trinity is close behind, averaging 1.9. Trinity ranks second in the conference with a 0.55 GAA.
In the two team’s one meeting this year, Colorado College earned the win, defeating Trinity 3-1 in Colorado Springs. They will face off again in San Antonio on October 11.
This week, Trinity will face off against Texas Lutheran and Southwestern, while Colorado College will take on Austin College and Centenary.
