MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Austin College’s Alan Sullivan followed up his Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men’s basketball Player of the Week honor with some national recognition Tuesday, earning a spot on the D3hoops.com Team of the Week. Full release
Sullivan, a junior forward from Dallas, Texas, earned the honor after a career performance last weekend. He averaged 30.0 points per game after a monster performance against Schreiner Friday night, where he totaled 40 points on 14-21 shooting. He knocked down eight three-pointers in the game, and went a perfect 4-4 from the charity stripe.
He followed that performance up with a 20 point effort against Trinity on Saturday. In addition to his offensive success, Sullivan also average 8.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocked shots.
Sullivan and the ‘Roos will hit the road this weekend for a pair of tough road battles. They will begin the trip in Shreveport, La. to face the Gents before heading to Colorado Springs to face the Tigers.
