LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Six of the seven Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's tennis teams began their spring season last weekend.
The Austin College 'Roos went 1-2 in a busy weekend, defeating Howard Payne University, but falling to McMurry University and Hardin-Simmons University.
At the Second Annual Schreiner Invitational, the Mountaineers took third place and were the top Division III team in the tournament.
Texas Lutheran University earned two victories over Sul Ross State this weekend, defeating the Lobos by match scores of 6-3, 7-2 on Sunday.
The eighth-ranked Trinity University Tigers picked up a win in their first Division III competition of the year, defeating McMurry 8-1.
