LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The baseball programs of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference continued competition into the third full week of the season.
Austin College (6-1) swept Southwest (NM) last weekend to build on one of the best starts since the 'Roos joined the SCAC in 2007. Centenary College (8-2) earned a series win over Southwestern University (2-8) by rallying to take games two and three after the Pirates took game one with a score of 9-7.
Texas Lutheran (5-2) went 3-1 on the week, sweeping Hardin-Simmons in a three-game set after falling to Concordia (TX) in a mid-week game. No. 7 Trinity University (5-2) swept Texas-Dallas and fell to Mary Hardin-Baylor to post a 3-1 record on the week.
Schreiner University (2-7) went 1-2 against East Tex. Baptist last weekend while the University of Dallas (2-8) went winless.
