KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and the D3soccer.com rankings came out this week and Trinity University continued to rise.
Trinity moved to No. 3/4 in the polls after a win over Schreiner University in the regular season finale. The Tigers finished the season with a record of 17-2 overall and 12-2 in SCAC action.
Colorado College fell to No. 23/24 despite a 1-0-1 weekend. The Tigers faced rough field conditions to earn a draw against the University of Dallas, before dominating Centenary College 8-0 on Saturday morning. CC finished the regular season with a record of 13-2-3 and 11-1-2 in conference.
In the NSCAA’s West Region rankings, Trinity remains atop the list at No. 1, while Colorado College comes in at No. 4.
The NCAA will release their regional rankings Wednesday. Last week, Trinity was ranked No. 1 in the region, while Colorado College came in at No. 3.
Both teams earned a spot in the SCAC tournament and will receive first-round byes. TU will take on the winner of the quarterfinal game between Texas Lutheran University and Southwestern University, while Colorado College will face off against the winner of Dallas and Schreiner.
