Trinity Men Jump in the Rankings After Five Game Streak

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Trinity University men are off to a 5-0 start to their season, earning them a big jump in the national rankings.

The National Soccer Coaches’ Association of America released their first set of rankings this season, with Trinity moving from No. 6 into the second spot. Trinity is also the top ranked team in the D3soccer.com poll, earning eight first-place votes.

The Tigers began their season with a conference victory over Schreiner University, before defeating four non-conference opponents. The Tigers knocked off two top-25 teams already this season, defeating No. 25 Brandeis 2-0 at home and traveling up to No. 20 University of Texas-Dallas for an overtime thriller, beating the Comets 2-1.

Trinity is the top ranked team in the west region, joined by fellow SCAC member Colorado College, who is ranked eighth in the group.

Trinity will travel to Dallas Friday for their second conference game of the season, before heading up to Colorado Springs to take on CC Sunday afternoon.
