SHREVEPORT, La. - Sixth-seeded Austin College took control late in the first half and never looked back, pulling away for a 71-60 victory over third-seeded Southwestern University in Friday's second quarterfinal game of the 2016 SCAC Men's Basketball Tournament. Official Tournament Website

- Austin College took the lead (28-26) with 3:55 remaining in the first half and never trailed again.
- Austin College led 38-29 at the half after shooting 47.2 percent from the field (17-36).
- For the game, Austin College shot 43.1 percent from the field (28-65) and held Southwestern to just 29.3 percent (22-75).
