LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Trinity women's soccer senior defender Emily Donnan has received D3soccer.com All-America First Team accolades.
Earlier, the talented Donnan was elected to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-America First Team. Donnan also made the NSCAA All-West Region First Team, and was named an NSCAA Scholar All-American. Additionally, Donnan was an All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference First Team honoree.
Donnan was the anchor of Trinity's stingy defense, which produced 17 shutout victories in the 2015 season. Only six goals were yielded during Trinity's 22-game season. Donnan contributed to the Tiger offense as well, scoring three goals and an assist for a total of seven points.
Led by Tiger Head Coach Lance Key, the Tigers completed the campaign with a 19-1-2 record. Trinity qualified for the NCAA Division III Playoffs for the 11th time during Coach Key's 12-year tenure. The Tigers advanced to the second round, in games played on Trinity's field. Trinity captured a 10th SCAC Championship on Coach Key's watch, which sent the Tigers to the postseason.
