LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The baseball programs of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference continued competition into the second full week of the season.
Centenary College (6-1) took down the No. 22 Texas-Tyler Patriots with a 9-2 final on Friday before going on to down LeTourneau and No. 8 Birmingham Southern en route to a perfect weekend. Austin College (3-1) got off to a strong start after posting a 3-0 series sweep over Arlington Baptist before falling 5-4 to Park.
Texas Lutheran (2-1) downed LeTourneau and BSC before falling to the nationally-ranked Patriots. No. 7 Trinity University (2-1) began the season with a 3-2 loss to BSC before downing LeTourneau 13-4 and the No. 22 Patriots 11-6.
Schreiner University (1-5) and Southwestern University (1-6) went 1-2 last week while the University of Dallas (2-6) went winless.
