HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Pirates jumped ahead 10-5 in the first set behind four kills by tournament MVP Kaitlyn Foster and a serice ace by Sarah Mullens. Southwestern would hold on to go up 1-0
- The Tigers answered in set two 25-23 to knot it up at one set apiece. Madeline McKay had eight kills in the second set for Trinity.
- The third set was back and forth with great defensive performances by both teams. The Pirates got the edge to gain a 2-1 advantage.
- Riding momentum, the Pirates closed in out in the fourth set 25-16 to claim the SCAC title.
