BEREA, Ohio — DePauw University seniors
Lauren Reich and Nicole Stein wrapped up their collegiate careers
with all-America honors at the NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor
Track and Field Championships at Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea,
Ohio. Junior Molly Buck of Rhodes College finished third in the 400
meter hurdles to give the SCAC its third all-America performance of
the day.
Reich was in second until falling late in the 1,500-meter run and
finished ninth in 4:32.10. She bounced back to pick up all-America
honors in the 5,000-meter run by finishing third in 17:01.71.
Stein broke her own school record in the 400-meter hurdles and
claimed her first all-America award by finishing fourth in 1:01.94.
As a team, DePauw totaled 14 points and tied for 18th for the
best finish in program history.
Rhodes' Buck finished third in the 400 meter hurdles in a time of
61.69. Coming in to the meet, she was ranked seventh nationally in
the event, and in Friday’s prelims, she posted the fourth
fastest time (61.33).
Today’s performance (61.69) capped off an outstanding
national championship meet for Buck, who, in addition to earning
all-America status in the 400 hurdles, established new school
records in the 100 hurdles (14.70) the 4x400 relay (3:51.65).
