Oglethorpe remains in eighth; Centre 10th after Day Two of NCAA Tournament

HERSHEY, Pa. - Oglethorpe University and Centre College remained in eighth and 10th place, respectively, after the second day of the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship. The Stormy Petrels shot a team total of 304 while the Colonels shot a team total of 305.

The Petrels trail frontrunning Methodist, who posted the low round of the tournament on Tuesday with a team 290, by 14 strokes heading into tomorrow's third round.

Oglethorpe's Scott Pugh shot a day-two 76 (+5) and is in a tie for 11th place individually. Freshman teammate Eric Quinn turned in a stellar round of 73 (+2) and moved into a tie for 43rd overall in the Championships.

Junior Chris Morris is leading the way for the Colonels as he is tied for fourth place after shooting a 70. He has a total score of 145.

Senior teammate Chris Conkright is tied for 11th place with an overall score of 148. He shot a 73 during the second round of play. Colonel Sophomore Randy Boll shot a 78 on day two and freshman Patrick Davidson recorded an 84, as both of them are tied for 90th.

Methodist University is leading the tournament after two rounds of play with a team score of 597. Tain Lee from Claremont Mudd Scripps held onto the lead after shooting a 69 for the second straight day.
