NEW ORLEANS, La. - Three Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference teams earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic team distinction for their performance in the classroom during the 2009-10 academic year.
Colorado College, Hendrix College and Rhodes College all earned the academic honors, as announced by the USTFCCCA.
A total of 68 teams from across the country earned USTFCCCA All-Academic team laurels.
In order to qualify, teams must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.10 or better. Colorado College, which posted a 3.40 (one of just 10 teams with a 3.40 or better) GPA, led the SCAC selections. Hendrix followed with a 3.26 GPA and Rhodes followed closely with a 3.25 GPA.
Colorado College's, Hendrix's and Rhodes' women's teams all earned the same distinction earlier in the week.
