DePauw falls to Thomas More in NCAA Football Playoffs

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. - DePauw University's rally fell short and the Tigers dropped a 49-39 decision to Thomas More (Ky.) College Saturday afternoon in first round NCAA Football Playoff action. Game Stats

DePauw fell behind 28-7 early in the second quarter, but scored the game's next 17 points to cut the Thomas More lead to 28-24 with 4:58 remaining in the third quarter.

The two teams traded touchdowns until a fumble return for TD by the Saints with 1:42 remaining in the game ended the Tigers' attempted comeback.

Senior quarterback Spud Dick passed for 318 yards and four touchdowns and completed 35 of 59 passes. He was intercepted three times.

DePauw outgained Thomas More 373 to 350 yards, but could not overcome four turnovers which the Saints converted into 21 points.
