Five from SCAC named to ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Baseball Teams

ITHACA, N.Y. - Led by first-team selection Andy Boucher of Rhodes College, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference placed five student-athletes on the 2010 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Baseball teams, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America this afternoon.

Boucher, a senior from Germantown, Tenn., earned District IV first-team honors after maintaining a 3.92 Grade Point Average as a neuroscience major.

Teammate Hunter Chandler, was named to the District IV second-team. Chandler (Gainesville, GA.) carried a 3.97 GPA as a junior economics and business administration major.

Millsaps College placed two student-athletes on the list as both Aaron Williams and Will Hawkins earned District VI second-team honors. Williams, a junior from Covington, La. tallied a 3.76 GPA as a biology major. Hawkins, a junior from Nettleton, Miss., maintained a 3.31 GPA as a geology major.

Austin College's Andy White was also a District VI second-team honoree. White, a senior from Dallas, Texas, is a business administration major and carried a 3.41 GPA.
