LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. --The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's swimming and diving schedule was packed in week four with all teams in the pool highlighted by two conference duals with Centenary hosting Southwestern and Austin College hosting University of the Ozarks.

From Shreveport, La. the Pirates prevailed over the Gents 173.5-80.5 in their conference dual on Saturday. Freshman Keith Gill led the Southwestern effort after earning wins in the 200 free (1:46.25) and 50 back (25.920) as well as in the 200 medley relay (1:40.13). For Centenary freshman Miguel Vasquez performed well with wins in the 200 IM (2:02.26) and 100 back (52.80). 

Earlier in the week, Southwestern also competed in a tri-meet with Ouachita Baptist and Rhodes where the Pirates defeated both squads. Gill had another outstanding performance in the pool finishing first in the 200 medley relay (1:37.64) and 100 free (47.40) while relay teammate sophomore Alek Argueta swam to victory in the 100 breast (1:00.69), 200 breast (2:15.39) and 400 free relay (3:19.21). Senior Peter Robinson also turned in a winning times in the 500 free (4:52.34) and 200 free (1:46.09)

On Saturday Austin College earned a home dual win against University of the Ozarks. The Roos’ had several outstanding performers, three of which swam on the 200 medley relay team comprised of Chris Brown, Tyler Brown, Max Saenz and Charles Smith who won the event in a combined effort of 1:49.92. Saenz, a freshman, reached the wall first in the 50 free (22.58) and 100 fly (53.50) while junior Chris Brown won the 400 IM (4:34.09) and 100 back (58.11). Senior Tyler Brown also had a stellar meet finishing first in the 100 breast (1:04.24). On the boards, junior Colton Baker won both 1-meter and 3-meter boards with scores of 140.00 and 126.82, respectively. 

In non-conference action, Trinity hosted Div. I opponent Texas Christian University where it fell 180.5-110.5 Senior Daniel Valmassei put together a winning score of 318.5 points on the 1-meter board for the Tigers.

Colorado College hosted Colorado School of Mines in a dual on Wednesday where it fell 164-43 and on Thursday, McMurry hosted UT-Permian Basin where it too fell by a margin of 113-62.

The conference men's swimming and diving schedule continues on Friday when Trinity welcomes Colorado College, McMurry and Southwestern to the Trinity Invitational.
