HOW IT HAPPENED
- Colorado College, Texas Lutheran and Trinity each claimed two individual SCAC titles on Day One.
- For Colorado College, Tony Calderon defended his 10,000 meters crown (33:08.53) and teammate Max Blackburn on the 3,000 meter steeplechase (9:46.12).
- Texas Lutheran's Ryan Geiger won the javelin (166' 11") and Jacob Guercia took top honors in the hammer (152' 9").
- For Trinity, Naim Barnett won the triple jump (47' 3 1/2") - the third-longest jump in SCAC championship meet history and teammate Tanner Lacy tied the third-highest vault in conference meet history with a winning clearance of 14' 11".

- Competition resumes tomorrow with the women's 5000-meter final at 8:00 a.m., followed by the men's event at 8:30 a.m. Field events begin at 9 a.m., with the women's shot put and women's high jump as well as finals in the men's long jump and men's discuss.
