LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Five Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's swimming and diving squads took to the pool over the weekend, highlighted by the regular season finale for Colorado College and McMurry

The Tigers took second at the Colorado College Classic, accruing 632 points over the course of the three-day contest. CC earned its best finish of the meet in the 800 free relay where junior Eric Dallesasse, sophomore Walker Martin, and freshmen Cole and Cade Thumann took second in a time of 7:19.35. Dallesasse went on to place fifth in the 100 fly (52.51) and seventh in the 200 IM (2:07.19) while freshman Julian Frerichs managed a fourth-place finish in the 200 back (2:08.35). On the boards, Casey Block championed the 1- and 3-meter diving events scoring 445.50 and 457.75, respectively. McMurry, who finished fifth at the CC Classic, was led by junior Jerick Pena who secured second and third place finishes in the 100 (54.96) and 200 (2:04.35) back. 

Southwestern hosted Trinity for a duel on Saturday where the Pirates prevailed 158-103. Southwestern, which honored its seniors at the meet, earned victories in both 200 medley (1:52.10) and free (1:27.37) relay events. Senior Peter Robinson along with freshmen Carl-Ake Willberg and Keith Gil contributed in both of the Pirates' relay wins and went on to add individual victories to their repertoire. Robinson took the 200 free (1:46.07) and Willberg won the 100 back (53.47). Gil titled in the 100 free in 48.37. Sophomore Alek Arguetta celebrated a pair of victories in the 100 (1:00.82) and 200 (2:15.10) breast while classmate Dylan Neumann topped opponents in the 200 IM finishing in 2:02.31. 

The Tigers had their fair share of winners at the dual including junior Jacob Hurrell-Zitelman who secured titles in the 500 and 1000 free. Sophomore Shamzi Alkaff took the 50 free in 21.50 and classmate Beau Tipton bested opponents in the 100 fly finishing in 53.94. Freshman Daniel Sarman also contributed a victory in the 200 back (1:55.09). TU also hosted divers from SUNY-Fredonia where sophomore Daniel Valmassei produced a second-place effort, scoring 237.45 points on the 3-meter board

On Saturday, the University of the Ozarks traveled to Henderson State for a dual. Sophomore Michael Walkine paced the Eagles collecting a pair of second-place finishes in the 100 breast (1:08.27) and 200 medley relay (1:44.30). Freshman Joel Coppernoll also earned a second-place finish in the 1000 free in 10:36.27. 

SCAC men's swimming and diving action continues on Saturday when Southwestern and Trinity make their final splash of the regular season.
