LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -
Seeding for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Tournament continues to tighten following a full slate of league action last week. Trinity (10-1-1, 8-1-0) and Colorado College (10-3-0, 8-2-0) are currently sitting at the top of the table after posting perfect 2-0 records in league play.

Trinity scored three times in the opening 21 minutes of action en route to a 3-1 victory against Southwestern (7-3-1, 5-2-1) on Tuesday. The Tigers are now 11-2 all-time in their next regular season league game following an SCAC loss.  Trinity then shutout Centenary (1-12-2, 0-11-1), 4-0, on Sunday to close out the week and secure its fifth clean sheet in conference play this season.

Colorado College extended its shutout streak to five games over the weekend with victories against Austin College (5-5-2, 4-5-1), 4-0, on Friday and Dallas (6-3-0, 5-2-0), 1-0, on Sunday. Four of the Tigers five goals on the weekend came in the second-half, including the game-winner over the Crusaders. The current shutout streak is the longest since the 2015 season when CC strung six-straight shutouts together, the longest such streak for the Tigers in the SCAC era.

Despite the tough loss to CC, Dallas earned two important league victories last week by identical 1-0 scores, defeating Austin College at home on Tuesday and at Johnson & Wales (4-6-1, 2-6-1) in double overtime on Friday. The Crusaders have played four consecutive one-goal contests and have a record of 3-1 in those games.

Texas Lutheran (6-4-0, 5-3-0) and Schreiner (3-9-2, 2-7-2) played a home and home series last week with the home team earning the victory in each game. On Tuesday, the Mountaineers earned a 3-2 win, before the Bulldogs responded with a 2-1 double overtime triumph on Friday.

In the final SCAC action of the week, Southwestern bounced back from its loss to TU to defeat Centenary, 1-0, on Friday and Austin College closed out the weekend by earning a 1-0 road win against JWU Sunday afternoon.

League play continues this week with nine contests scheduled, highlighted by Colorado College traveling to Texas to take on Texas Lutheran on Friday and Southwestern on Sunday.
