SCAC Women's Golf Spring Recap - Week Three

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Only two SCAC women's teams were in action this past week as Schreiner and Trinity took the links to participate in the Schreiner University Spring Shootout on Monday and Tuesday at Comanche Trace.

The Trinity women shot a 325 second-round score for a two-day 654 total to take second place. Trinity bettered its score by four strokes from the first round and finished nine in back of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

First-year golfer Raquel Hill made a mark on her early collegiate career by tying for first place. She shot a 3-over-par 75 for a two-round score of 151. Medalist honors went to a UMHB golfer based on a tiebreaker system. Senior Emilee Strausburg carded an 82 for a 163 total and finished alone in fourth place.

Schreiner finished 29 shots behind Trinity, totalling rounds of 340 and 343 to finish at 683. Junior Reygan Rodriguez and senior Piper Gleadhill finished tied for fifth among individuals with two-day totals of 166.
