LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Two of the league's six women's golf teams hit the links for their fall debuts earlier this week.
TLU hosted Trinity and five additional non-conference teams for its annual Lady Bulldog Fall Classic, played at the par-71, Starcke Park Municipal Course in Seguin, Texas.
Trinity captured the team title after firing a two-day team total of 634 (319-315), defeating Mary Hardin-Baylor by 16-strokes who finished second. Emilee Strausburg carded a 36-hole total of 156 (79-77) to finished second and led the Tigers. Strausburg recorded two birdies and 22 pars and finished one-under on par fives for the event.
TLU finished fifth with a two-day team total of 693 strokes (351-342). Junior Summer Swift led the Bulldogs with a tied for sixth-place finish after posting rounds of 82 and 80 for a total of 162. The defending SCAC champion finished with 18 pars on the week.
In addition, Dallas sent individual Tiffany Han to compete at the Lady Bulldog Classic. Han, who is the first women's golfer to complete a round for UD since 2014, finished 39th.
