Colorado College's Schafer Wins SCAC Women's Lacrosse Elite 19 Award

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- In an announcement made Friday afternoon from the conference office, Colorado College's Cassis Schafer was named the 2019 SCAC Women's Lacrosse Elite 19 award winner.

Schafer, a junior from Richmond, Calif., currently holds a 3.665 GPA and was an All-SCAC first team selection on this year's all-conference women's lacrosse team as a defender.

The SCAC Elite 19 is awarded to the student-athlete who has at least a cumulative 3.25 GPA, at least 60 credit hours and earns All-SCAC first or second team honors for that particular season. A student-athlete will be honored annually from each of the league's 19 conference-sponsored sports and will be recognized at the site at that year's conference championship event.

This is the inaugural year of the SCAC Elite 19 award.
