The Colorado College men's and women's swimming and diving teams hosted Colorado School of Mines in a dual meet Wednesday night at Schlessman Natatorium.
 
The Mines women slipped by the Tigers, 129-114, while the Orediggers defeated CC, 164-43, on the men's side.
 
Freshman Key Macfarland led the women's team by winning the 500 freestyle race in a time of five minutes, 30.38 seconds, and placed second in the 1000 freestyle and 200 IM events.
 
Junior Selma Jukic captured the 100 freestyle and finished third in the 200 free, while fellow junior Jio Chang won the 100 butterfly race.
 
Freshman Sam Caro posted a pair of second-place results in the 50 and 100 freestyle races, while sophomore Emily Erickson was the runner-up in the 100 breaststroke. Jukic, Caro and Erickson joined junior Hailey Schramm on the second-place 200 freestyle relay team.
 
The diving portion of the meet was held Tuesday night and junior Riley Wadehra won both the 1- and 3-meter events. Sophomores Jennifer Middleton and Lani Flagg placed second and third, respectively, in each event.
 
In the men's meet, sophomore Walker Martin finished second in the 100 freestyle and led off the 200 freestyle relay team that also placed second. Joining Martin were freshmen Cole Thumann and Julian Frerichs and senior Ethan Schick.
 
Cole Thumann finished third in the 200 IM, while his brother, Cade, placed third in the 500 freestyle. Frerichs, junior Eric Dallesasse and freshman Reese Gawronski posted third-place results in the 100 backstroke, 100 butterfly and 100 freestyle, respectively.
 
"We had some great racing tonight," head coach Anne Goodman James said. "Mines is a very good team, and we rose to a very strong level of competition.  I was very pleased with our intensity."
 
The Tigers travel to San Antonio, Texas, for the Trinity University Invitational, Nov. 16-18.
