COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado College diver Riley Wadehra has been selected to the Google Cloud NCAA Division III Academic All-District 8 Women's At-Large First Team. Wadehra was the only female SCAC student-athlete to earn the recognition.
The teams are selected by members of College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), honoring student-athletes for combined performances in athletics and in the classroom. The Google Cloud Academic All-America Teams will be announced in June.
Wadehra, a junior majoring in environmental science who holds a 3.94 GPA, picked up her first Academic All-District nod by way of an at-large selection. In the pool, the junior earned gold on the three-meter board at the 2019 SCAC Swimming and Diving Championship in February and took second on the one-meter apparatus. Over the course of the season, Wadehra was named SCAC Diver of the Week three times.
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot, with Google Cloud Academic All-America® teams announced in June.
The Google Cloud Academic All-District® teams are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. The Google Cloud Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and College Division. The College Division includes all NAIA, Canadian, two-year schools and other affiliations.
