Trinity's Hagmann Earns Google Cloud Academic All-District Recognition

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - After a successful final season in the pool, Trinity University's Lindsay Hagmann has been selected to the Google Cloud Academic All-District team.

The 2017-18 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Women’s At-Large Team recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the playing field and in the classroom.

Hagmann, a senior on the Tigers' swim team, holds a 3.57 grade point average as an accounting major at Trinity. In the pool, Hagmann was pivotal in Trinity’s team success this year. At the SCAC championships, she won the 50 and 100 free individually and took runner-up in the 100 breast. The victory in the 50 free was her second consecutive win at the conference meet and the win in the 100 was her third straight - making her just the third swimmer in league history to win that event three consecutive years.

Following the conference meet, Hagmann qualified for the NCAA Division III national championships where she achieved all-America status in the 50 free in a new conference open record 23.16 and honorable mention in the 100 free. Her role on relays helped Trinity gain honorable mention all-America honors in the 200 free relay (splitting a time of 22.6) and break the conference open record in the 400 free relay with a 50.3 swim from Hagmann.

For the second year in a row, Hagmann was voted the SCAC Swimmer of the Year.

First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot, with Google Cloud Academic All-America® teams announced in June.

The Google Cloud Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages and are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. The Google Cloud Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and College Division. The College Division includes all NAIA, Canadian, two-year schools and other affiliations.
