LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The first half of conference action close this weekend as all seven Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference women's soccer teams competed.
Trinity University (9-1, 5-0 SCAC) extended its winning streak to nine games with a pair of wins this weekend. The Tigers have been dominant since the beginning of the season, outscoring opponents 59-3. After posting six straight shutouts, the Tigers gave up one goal to Centenary College this weekend in a 10-1 victory. On Sunday, Trinity posted 9-0 win over Austin College.
Continuing a winning streak of its own is Schreiner University (5-4-1, 4-0-1 SCAC). The Mountaineers also took down Austin College and Centenary to move to 4-0-1 in SCAC action and sit second in the league standings.
Texas Lutheran University (3-6-1, 3-2-1 SCAC) earned a 2-0 win in their only conference match over the weekend, defeating the University of Dallas 2-0. The Bulldogs sit in third place with 10 points.
Tied in fourth place are Dallas and Centenary with seven points apiece. The Crusaders (3-6-2, 2-3-1 SCAC) went 1-1 this weekend, defeating Southwestern on Sunday, but falling to TLU. The Ladies (2-5-1, 2-3-1 SCAC) was winless this weekend after facing Trinity and Schreiner.
Austin College and Southwestern University round out the standings in sixth and seventh place, respectively.
