LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Regular season action came to a conclusion over the weekend as the final seeding for the 2017 SCAC Women's Soccer Tournament was set.
There were only three conference games over the weekend and two of them ended in scoreless draws. Texas Lutheran University and Southwestern University kicked off the action Friday night, with the Pirates' goalkeeper making 12 saves to keep the Bulldogs off the board. TLU outshot Southwestern 26-5, but couldn't find the back of the net.
Centenary College went on the road to face Austin College on Saturday, and the two teams also struggled to score. Centenary held a slight advantage in shots, 12-10.
Trinity University took on Schreiner University, earning a 3-0 win. It was a low scoring game for the Tigers' who average 5.76 goals per contest. The Tigers also average 30.1 shots, but were held to just 13 against the Mountaineers.
In non-conference action, the University of Dallas went 1-1 on the week, defeating Southwestern Adventist University, but falling to McMurry University. Centenary fell to Hendrix College.
