LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The regular season concluded over the weekend and the final spot in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Tournament was secured in dramatic fashion.
In the non-conference action, SCAC teams went 1-1-2 against opponents, with #2 Trinity picking up the sole victory over UC-Santa Cruz. Centenary played to a 4-4 draw against Hendrix and Colorado College ended in a scoreless draw against #23 Mary Hardin-Baylor.
Southwestern University earned their way into the conference tournament in a thrilling 2-1 double-overtime win. The Pirates caught the TLU goalkeeper out of position and tabbed the game-winner with less than one second remaining in the game. See video of the goal below:

With that win, the Pirates edged out Schreiner University for the tournament's final spot. Colorado College had a huge win over the University of Dallas on Friday night, defeating the Crusaders 2-1. The two teams continue to be regionally ranked by the NCAA men's soccer committee with Colorado College at #4 and Dallas at #6 in the west region.
Austin College had a dominant performance against Centenary College Saturday night, defeating the Gents 7-0, led by Jack Wheaton and Thomas Quick who each recorded hat tricks.
