KERRVILLE, Texas -- Schreiner University has named Bill Woodley as its new head golf coach.
Prior to accepting this position, Coach Woodley has had successful stops for both men and women’s teams at the University of Arkansas, Texas Christian University and Texas State University.
During his 20+ years as a head coach his teams have won a national championship, seven conference championships, and have been ranked nationally 16 times.
He has also coached 12 All-Americans, had 24 All-Conference selections and has earned coach of the year honors five times. He has also had seven former players earn their PGA tour cards. In addition to their playing accomplishments, well over 90% of his players completed their college degrees.
Coach Woodley enjoys tournament competition and has been medalist in the U.S. Amateur qualifying and low amateur in the Texas Open.
