SCAC Men's Golf Fall Recap - Week Six

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Four SCAC men's teams were on the links this week at the Alamo City Classic in San Antonio, hosted by Trinity University.

The University of Dallas powered up the leaderboard on Tuesday, jumping from sixth place to second and finishing just one shot from tournament champion Hardin-Simmons University. The Crusaders shot the low team round of the tournament, firing a 289 to finish with a two-day total of 601 (+33). 

Dallas was led by first-year golfer Robbie Evans, who took medalist honors with a two-round score of 140 (-2). He tore up the The Quarry Golf Club on Tuesday, firing a round of 65 (-6) over the 6,699-yard, Par 71 course. He was the only golfer to finish under par and defeated Will Hocker of Webster by three strokes.

Texas Lutheran and Trinity finished tied for third at 608 (+40). The Bulldogs' Colin Uecker paced his squad with a 147 (+5) - good for a tie for fourth - and Payton Bartee was tops among the Tigers with a 151 (+9) for a tie for eighth.

Led by a seventh-place individual finish from Wyatt Koricanek (150 / +8), Schreiner University placed sixth in the eight-team field with a score of 613 (+45).
