LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Southwestern University pulled off a huge upset over Trinity University last week to highlight the short week for four of the seven Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's tennis teams.
The Pirates closed their regular season on a high note as they defeated No. 14 Trinity, 5-4. In the match, the Pirates took a 2-1 lead after doubles, and the match was tied 4-4 as the final singles match was concluding at the second line. SU sophomore Dean Dulthummon and TU sophomore Jordan Pitts went to a third-set, where Dulthummon came out on top, 7-6.

Both Trinity and Southwestern also defeated McMurry University last week.
Schreiner University captured a 7-2 win over Texas Lutheran University in the only match for either team last week, while Centenary College went 1-1 with a win over Louisiana College.
