LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The 2018 SCAC baseball season got underway this week as four of the league's seven teams took to the diamond and posted a cumulative 7-5 mark.
Centenary College and Texas Lutheran University each started out the season strong, going undefeated over the opening weekend. The Gents went 4-0 against Pacific (Ore.) and Whitworth at home, while the Bulldogs swept Pacific Lutheran in a double-header.
Schreiner University also picked up one win over the weekend, defeating Concordia (TX) on the road. The Tornados were receiving votes in the D3baseball.com preseason poll.
