Trinity Takes Day One Lead at SCAC Men's Swimming & Diving Championship

The Tigers took home top honors in the 200-yard medley relay for the fifth time in six years and became the first team in league history to win the event four consecutive times (2020-2023). The foursome of Matt Lanzara, Kendal Southwell, Caleb Manifold, and Michael Kohl touched the wall in a league championship record and NCAA 'B' cut time of 1:29.20. Trinity finished the night by smashing its SCAC meet record in the 800-yard freestyle relay. Kohl, Nathaniel Early, Will Walker, and Lanzara touched the wall in 6:41.31, besting the previous mark of 6:43.01 at last year's conference championship meet by nearly two seconds. The time, which also established a new SCAC open mark, earned the quartet an NCAA 'B' cut time. Colorado College came in second with a time of 6:46.85.
