MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Trinity senior women's basketball player Ashlyn Milton has been selected as a Fifth Team All-American by D3hoops.com. The announcement was made by D3hoops.com ahead of this weekend's NCAA III Championship game.

The national award punctuates an outstanding season during which Milton was named both the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year and the D3hoops.com Region 10 Most Outstanding Player.

Milton led the team in scoring at 13.4 points/game this season, topping 1,000 career points during the year, and finishing 12th in career scoring with 1,240 points as a Tiger player. She connected on 41.7% of her three-point shots to rank fifth all-time at Trinity, hitting 75 total shots from beyond the arc. That total is second only to her record-breaking number of 78 last year. Milton leaves Trinity as the school record-holder in both single-season and career three-point field goals made, as well as setting the new standard for career three-point percentage at 39.7%.

Trinity made a second consecutive trip to the third round of the NCAA III Playoffs in 2022-23, finishing the year 28-2 overall. The Tigers were 15-1 in the SCAC regular season and won the 10th conference title in program history under Head Coach Cameron Hill. Coach Hill has now piled up seven SCAC Championships and led the team to the third round of the postseason three times during his 11-year tenure.
