Hannah Kollmansberger, Schreiner University, Softball - Character & Community

HANNAH KOLLMANSBERGER OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a senior catcher on the softball team from Spring Branch, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Character & Community Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week beginning November 14.

The SCAC Character & Community award honors the efforts of student-athletes who excel in the field of athletics, and also serve their campus and community.

There are few things on campus that Hannah is not involved in. The senior is a part of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee as well as a member of Student Government, The Ancient and Honorable Order of the Campus, and an Intramural Manager, in addition to her role as catcher of the Mountain varsity softball team.

“Character & Community, to me, means being a reliable and trustworthy individual who gives back to the people in my community," said Hannah.

“It was important for me to get involved on campus and in the community because it has allowed me to meet so many great people," continued Kollmansberger. " I also get to do so many unique activities that I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to do otherwise.”

When Hannah is not out on the softball field, she loves to spend time volunteering on campus and out and about in the local Kerrville community with her teammates and fellow Schreiner students.
