Reyna, a sophomore from San Antonio, Texas, and Morales, a junior from Anaheim, Calif., went 2-0 on the weekend, posting an 8-4 victory over the ETBU team of Gabbi Hammerbach and Jayde Childress on Friday and an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles over LeTourneau's Madison Morris and Megan LeBlanc on Saturday.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Senior Megan Flores and sophomore Cate Cushing of Trinity opened the SCAC season with a convincing 8-3 top line victory on the road against Colorado College on Sunday, preceded by a highly-competitive match at NCAA I Air Force Saturday, but ultimately fell 7-5. Junior Alejandra Lopez and junior Anamaria Gonzales of St. Thomas continued to impress, posting a convincing 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles over the team from UMHB. First-year Lydia Lee and junior Nina Mitrofanova of Southwestern defeated LeTourneau's Madison Morris and Megan LeBlanc, 8-6, in No. 1 doubles in the Pirates' 9-0 sweep of the Yellowjackets.
