NOAH HANCOCK OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from San Antonio, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played through Tuesday, April 16. SCAC Golf Release (Spring - Week 9)
Participating as an individual, Hancock earned medalist honors at The Battle in Brownwood, which hosted by Howard Payne University. Tne sophomore fired rounds of 72 and 74 to post a two-day total of 146 (+2), one shot clear of five players, including three of his teammates - Drew Hermesmeyer, John Martinez, and Matthew McKenzie - who all finished tied for second with total scores of 147.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Andrew Bennett of Centenary finished tied for 12th place at The Visit Florence/Shoals Intercollegiate, which was contested at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail "Fighting Joe" Course in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Bennett closed with a one under 71 to finish the three-round event at 220 (+4) in the 62-player field.
