Elisa Peralta, Schreiner University, Player of the Week (Week 2)

ELISA PERALTA OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a sophomore guard from Laredo, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, November 14 through Sunday, November 20. SCAC Women's Basketball Release (Week 2) 

Peralta was outstanding for Schreiner last week as the Mountaineers split a pair non-conference contests, highlighted by a 27-point performance in a win over SAA foe Birmingham-Southern. She averaged 22 points on 57.1 percent shooting over the course of two games. Outside of pouring in the points, Peralta filled up the stat sheet adding 5.5 assists, 4.5 steals and 2.5 rebounds per contest as well.


Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore forward Zoe Tomlinson of Colorado College averaged 13.0 points and 9.0 rebounds in a paid of tough losses last week for the Tigers. Tomlinson is now averaging an SCAC leading 11.8 rebounds per game. First-year forward Akyra Hodges of Southwestern led the Pirates with 14 points on 40 percent shooting and added five rebounds and one assist in nine-point win over Howard Payne on the road last week. Junior guard Hayden Morin of St. Thomas had a strong three games last week for the Celts, averaging 15.7 points per game on 57.7 percent shooting and dished out a total of 11 assists and grabbed 17 shots. First-year guard Lauren Sansano of Texas Lutheran starred for the Bulldogs scoring 24 points in the Bulldogs near-upset against Division-II St. Edward's and scored 13 points and added five rebounds and four assists in the Bulldogs win over Sul Ross. Junior guard Maggie Robbins of Trinity notched eight assists, seven rebounds and five steals in Sunday's 91-56 victory over Sul Ross, all team-highs, with six rebounds, six assists and four steals all logged in 12 minutes played by halftime against the Lobos. She was both pick-pocket and facilitator-extraordinaire last weekend for No. 5/6 Trinity with a 72-59 victory over Howard Payne in hand as well, leading the Tigers with 5.5 assists and 4.5 steals per game, on top of leading the team's efforts off the glass as well with 6.5 rebounds per game, all while playing just 22.5 minutes per contest.
