SUWANEE, Ga. – Schreiner University senior Kamden Ross was named a preseason fifth-team All-America selection by D3hoops.com it was announced last week by the organization.
Last year, Ross became the first Mountaineer since 2018 to earn All-American honors after he was selected named Secon-Team All-America by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
As a junior, Ross became just the second player in league history to win both the SCAC Player-of-the-Year and SCAC Defensive Player-of-the-Year honors in the same season. He led the SCAC in both points per game (18.3) and rebounds per game (13.2) and finished second in the league connecting on 62.8 percent from the field. Last season, Ross became just the second player in SCAC history to snare 300-plus rebounds in a single season with 330, the second-highest single season total in league history. Ross became the first men’s basketball player in league history to lead the conference in total rebounds for three consecutive years.
