HOW IT HAPPENED
- The game was a defensive affair as neither team shot over 40.0 percent from the floor. Both teams shot 38 percent from the field.
- The teams combined to force 36 turnovers during the contest.
- In a matchup of two evenly matched teams, the game featured six ties and five lead changes.
- With under 10 seconds remaining and the shot clock about to expire, Schreiner's Cervantes drove through the lane and avoided a Colorado College defender as he was able to finish his layup with four seconds remaining in regulation.
- After a Colorado College timeout, the Tigers were able to race the ball down the floor but could not quite get the game-tying shot attempt off.

NOTABLE
- Colorado College and Schreiner met in the SCAC tournament for the first time. The Tigers swept both regular season matchups between the two this year.
- It marked the second consecutive year that Schreiner advanced to the semifinals on a last possession shot. The Mountaineers beat Southwestern, 51-50, in the 2022 SCAC quarterfinals on a shot at the buzzer.
- Schreiner began the game 0-of-17 from beyond the arc before the Mountaineer made their final two attempts from long range.
