GARLAND, Texas - The Trinity University women picked up wins in 3-meter diving, the 200 free, 100 breast and 400 medley relay to maintain a lead of nearly 100 points over Southwestern University heading into the final day of the 2022 SCAC Swimming and Diving Championships. Trinity leads with 610 points while Southwestern is in second with 525 points. Colorado College sits in third with 416 points.
Trinity earned a victory on the 3-meter board early Friday afternoon where the Tigers continued their dominance in the event. Katarina Partalas scored 464.70 points to take home the league title. It marked the 17th consecutive win in the 3-meter for the Tigers. Partalas's teammate Alexis Radhakrishnan placed second with a score of 428.60 while fellow Tiger teammate Gabi Fulk was third with a mark of 421.35. 3-Meter Interview

Jesse Stovall continued the Pirates' winning ways as she earned a win in the 100 fly. Stovall finished first with a time of 55.71, which earned an NCAA B cut time. For the second-consecutive year Trinity's Emma Hagan earned a victory in the 200 free. She touched the wall in SCAC record and B cut time of 1:51.40. The win marked the 10th straight victory for the Tigers in this event. The 100 breast saw a pair of Trinity Tigers take home the top two spots as Jadyn Trahan (first - 1:05.18) and Josie Gillentine (second - 1:05.49) finished ahead of Austin College's Samantha Thiele who was third with a time of 1:06.58. Emma Frey {pictured} of Southwestern earned a SCAC championship in the 100 back after she touched the wall with a time of 58.35. Frey just edged out Trinity's Mable Fowler (58.39) by 0.04 seconds. Trinity took home top honors in the night's final event as the Tiger quartet of Fowler, Trahan, Myers, and Hagan recorded a winning time of 3:49.57. The time earned them a new SCAC record as well as a B cut. Southwestern's foursome of Frey, Natalie Gierat, Stovall, and Zoe Garcia came in second finishing in 3:57.62.
