ANDREW BENNETT OF CENTENARY COLLEGE, a senior from Bossier City, La., has been selected the SCAC Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played from Sunday, October 27 through Tuesday, October 29. SCAC Golf Release (Week 7)

Bennett continued to enhance his impressive resume as he claimed his third-career victory after firing a 2-under par 142 to claim the individual title on Tuesday in the Crusader Cup hosted by the University of Dallas at Hawk's Creek Golf Club. The senior helped lead the Gents to a third-place tie with the University of St. Thomas at 27-over par 603.

Bennett finished three shots ahead of runner-up Kaden English of Concordia University (even-par 144) as they were the only two golfers to finish at or under par this week. Bennett now owns a trio of career wins, nine top-five finishes, and 12 top-10 finishes as he continues to add to his legacy as the program's top golfer in the Division III era. Bennett, the 2024 SCAC Individual Champion and Men's Golfer of the Year, has tied for sixth, tied for second, and finished first in three tournaments this Fall.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Kaden English of Concordia (Texas) posted rounds of 73 and 71 for an even par total of 144, finishing runner-up at the Crusader Cup on Tuesday. English posted a field-best eight birdies and posted an average score of 3.95 on the course's par-4s, which was tied for second-best among the field. Sophomore Antonio Ramirez of St. Thomas finished at one over 145 to place third at the UD Crusader Cup. Ramirez led after the first round as he fired the low round of the event, carding a 69 on Monday. Senior Tobey Wills of Texas Lutheran matched his opening round score of one-over (73) on Tuesday to finish fourth at the UD Crusader Cup, his second-straight top five finish. He and his teammates led the Bulldogs a seven stroke victory, the team's first tournament win since 2018. Junior Matthew McKenzie of Schreiner paced the Mountaineers with rounds of 73 and 76 to finish at 149 (+5) and tied for sixth place among the 54-player field at the UD Crusader Cup. Sophomore Mike Zhang of Dallas led the Crusaders with a top 10 individual finish as he and his teammates hosted the UD Crusader Cup on Monday and Tuesday at Hawks Creek Golf Club in Westworth Village, Texas. Zhang carded rounds of 75 each day to finish at 150 (+6), which was good for a tie for ninth.
