LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The SCAC office today released the championship bracket for the 2012 conference volleyball tournament, which will be played Friday-Saturday, November 2-3 in Colorado Springs, Colo., on the campus of Colorado College. Complete Bracket
Defending SCAC champion and 18th-ranked Colorado College (8-2) clinched the top seed for the 2012 Championship after sweeping its three matches this weekend at the second SCAC West Inter Pod.
The Tigers earned to No. 1 seed over Trinity University via tiebreaker. Colorado College and Trinity split their two regular season meetings and Colorado College earned the top seed via a better record (2-0) against Southwestern University than Trinity's 1-1 record against the Pirates.
Rounding out the seeds are No. 2 Trinity (8-2), 22nd-ranked and No. 3 Southwestern (7-3), No. 4 Austin College (5-5), No. 5 University of Dallas (2-8) and Centenary College (0-10).
