LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -
The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the 2013 SCAC Men's Tennis All-Tournament team this afternoon. Any players or doubles teams that went through the conference tournament undefeated were named to the team.

The Trinity University men won their fourth consecutive SCAC men's tennis title this past Sunday morning - a 9-0 shutout of Colorado College - at the Butch Newman Tennis Center on the campus of Trinity.

In the third-place match, which ended later on Sunday afternoon, Southwestern University defeated Austin College, 5-3. Southwestern had advanced after defeating Centenary College, 5-0, earlier in the day.

Trinity improved its season record to 18-9 with the win, which was the 18th overall conference title for the storied program. That marks the most championships won in one sport by any school in the SCAC era.

Trinity finished off the victory with six singles wins. Senior Erick DelaFuente (pictured above accepting the 2013 SCAC men's tennis trophy) won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles to clinch for the Tigers. DelaFuente teamed with Jordan Mayer for a line one doubles win on Saturday night, and Mayer also scored a 6-1, 6-1 singles victory for the Tigers.

Aaron Skinner won 6-0, 6-2 at line one singles, which followed his No. 2 doubles win with Nicolas Moreno yesterday. Greg Haugen teamed with Connor Dunn to win the final doubles point, and both players also won in singles. Haugen won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles, while Dunn was a 6-1, 6-0 win in the sixth position. Charlie Curtis finished off the scoring with his 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 5 singles.

Skinner, Mayer and Curtis are all repeat all-tournament honorees, and DelaFuente, Haugen and Andy Clarage of Southwestern are two-time All-Tournament team honorees having made the squad in 2011. Clarage was the only men's player to go 3-0 at this year's championships.

Trinity's DelaFuente earned a spot on the All-Tournament team as a doubles player for the fourth straight year - the first player to accomplish that feat in conference history. Aaron Skinner was also an All-Tournament doubles honoree at last year's championships.
