EVANSTON, Ill. - The College Swimming Coaches Association of America recently honored seven Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's & women's swimming & diving teams with All-Academic honors for the completed 2012-13 academic year.
An incredible 70 percent of the league's men's and women's swimming and diving programs were recognized as Scholar All-America Teams.
To be selected, teams must have maintained a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale.
The SCAC was represented by both the men's and women's teams from Austin College, Colorado College and Trinity University. The Southwestern University women were also honored.
The Colorado College men and women were tops among conference teams with a 10th-place (3.42 GPA) and 13th-placce (3.55) national finish, respectively.
