TYLER, Texas -
Trinity University men's tennis players Aaron Skinner and Jordan Mayer combined to win both the singles and doubles titles at the ITA Regional Championships on Sunday afternoon.

Trinity swept the regional singles and doubles titles for the third consecutive season. Bobby Cocanougher and Cory Kowal combined to win the 2010 crowns, while Max Frey and Erick DelaFuente were the singles and doubles champs last year. Trinity had three of the four singles semifinalists, and two of the four doubles semifinal teams in the final day of this year's tournament.

Fifth-seeded Skinner defeated doubles teammate Mayer in the singles semifinals, before going on to win the title. Skinner and Mayer came in as the fourth seed in doubles, and beat #2 seed Kevin Singer and Ryan Ybarra of UT-Tyler in the semifinals. Skinner and Mayer then went on to win their first ITA title.

The ITA Small College National Championships will be held October 11-14 in Mobile, Alabama. Skinner will compete in the singles draw, while he and Mayer will also be in the doubles tournament. Cocanougher and Kowal won the 2010 ITA National Small College Championship, which was Trinity's first since Sean Fifield and Stefan Parker won it in 2003.
